To book a cremation slot at the 2 private crematoria, you will need to engage a funeral director to make the booking at the monastery or temple directly.
Applying for a permit to cremate
You can apply for a permit to cremate via the NEA ePortal. You should submit only one application.
If you need to make changes or cancel the approved permit, contact the service counter at Mandai Crematorium directly.
Booking a cremation slot
There are 2 ways you can book a cremation slot at Mandai Crematorium:
- In person at the Mandai Crematorium Service Counter (during opening hours)
- Online using the NEA ePortal

If you need to make changes to the date or time of the confirmed booking, please do so in person at the Mandai Crematorium Service Counter.
Things to submit
You are required to bring the following documents to the crematorium service counter for verification. This should be done when you're making the booking in person, or before the actual cremation service if the booking was made online. This applies to any crematorium in Singapore.
Check that you have:
- the deceased's death certificate (either the digital PDF or a printed copy)
- permit to bury/cremate
- the deceased's NRIC or passport
- the applicant's NRIC or passport
- the letter of authorisation if the applicant is not the deceased's next-of-kin
When to make payment
You are required to make payment online or in person at the crematorium service counter before the actual cremation service.
Bookings for cremation are only confirmed after payment is made with:
- NETS
- cash card or
- credit card
For Kong Meng San and Tse Tho Aum Crematoriums, check with your funeral director or contact the temple or monastery directly.

If you need to make changes to the booking
There may be changes in your situation after a confirmed booking for cremation at Mandai Crematorium. You may decide to:
- change the date and/or time of the booking
- or cancel the booking
All changes or cancellation to confirmed bookings for cremation must be made in person at Mandai Crematorium.
You will have to bring along all the required documents to make the change.
